Sophie
Meet Sophie, a 6-year-old male neutered Persian cat, with a history of severe fungal infection:
History: Crusty lesions started on the nose, spread to forehead and ears; alopecia on the abdomen; hyperkeratinisation of paws and limbs. Itch score was 8/10, and he constantly licked himself.
At presentation: Alopecia all over the body, crusting on back, face, and paws, with ulcerated lesions on paws. Cytology showed 3–4+ bacteria and yeast almost everywhere. Woods lamp test positive.
Treatment:
- Oral anti-itch, antibiotics, and antifungal medication
- Topical antiseptic wipes and antifungal cream
- Omega supplements and Vitamin E for skin barrier strengthening
- Medicated antifungal shampoo
- Diet trial recommended
After a month: Hair regrowth in almost all affected areas, crusting completely resolved, itch score reduced to 1–2/10, cytology improved, and Woods lamp fluorescence decreased.
💙 Happy to see Sophie doing so well and wishing him a smooth recovery ahead

August 19, 2025I love this theme. Sometimes it’s difficult to work with some themes, because even if they are created with Elementor, you can’t edit all the things with Elementor. Is not the case of Bili. All is created with Elementor and you don’t need Elementor Pro.
